“NASCAR” Sprinkler Cover ProjectDisplay Pack was approached with another unique challenge. Thermoform a cover of a yard “crawling” sprinkler that can handle the punishing elements encountered during lawn sprinkling! It may not sound tough, but the sun and water prevent the use of many materials that just can’t hold up under the strain. The project required that plastic be printed with a non-fading, waterproof ink system and then be thermoformed so that all the printed elements end up in registration to the car-body shape. These functions facilitated the use of distorted graphics that would, when formed, end up in the right spots. Apple Computer ProjectIn 2000 Apple Computer searched the world for a supplier with the imagination and expertise to produce a unique in-mold appliqué to customize their iMac personal computer. They discovered the Display Pack team.Display Pack, in concert with some of our trusted suppliers, came up with a process of printing, with conventional inks, on thin gage polycarbonate, creating custom plastic thermoformed components, meeting Apple’s exacting specifications for fit and function.
